When you enter Portland Beachside Recovery Center, you’ll immediately feel as though you’ve become a part of that family. That’s because our friendly and well-trained staff always places an emphasis on community, and that sense of community extends from every member of our crew to every one of our clients. This welcoming atmosphere is integral in the recovery process, right from the very start. We recognize that being comfortable is one of the key elements for fostering recovery, and for that reason, our experienced and knowledgeable staff is always ready to welcome new members to the Portland Beachside Recovery Center family! Jesse James Program Director
Jesse has worked in the human services field for over 15 years, and brings a multitude of experience working within the field of addiction in residential, and outpatient treatment services. Jesse received his undergraduate degree in Human Development from Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon. He later went on to complete his master’s degree in Organizational Management and Leadership. He has experience working with both adults and adolescents in residential and outpatient services providing substance abuse services. Prior to joining Beachside Recovery Portland, Jesse worked as the Clinical Director of an outpatient substance abuse and behavioral health facility. He has extensive group therapy experience, and he is comfortable utilizing a variety of group therapy approaches, and has specialized in the use of motivational interviewing. In addition to his clinical work, Jesse has management experience that spans a decade in executive roles. Jesse also served in the United States Navy and is very active as a Navy Veteran. Jesse is an integral part of our community and loves giving back to those seeking a change.
Kelly Sanderson Operations Manager
Kelly has worked in the recovery field for over 7 years, and in the medical field for over 15 years and brings experience working within the field of addiction in detox, residential, partial hospitalization, and outpatient treatment services. Kelly received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon. Prior to joining Beachside Recovery Portland, Kelly worked as the Office/Billing Manager of a detox/residential/out patient dual diagnosis facility.
Eric Milne Clinical Director
Eric has worked in the human services field for over 18 years, and brings a multitude of senior executive management experience within the mental health and addictions field. Prior to joining Beachside Recovery Portland, Eric has worked as the Director of Medication Assisted Treatment, Mental Health and Addiction Program Manager, and CEO for Outpatient Mental Health Services. Eric received his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and his bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Eric has passed his comprehensive exam and is in process of completing his dissertation for his doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from North Central University in Phoenix, Arizona. Eric has also received certificates in Medical Family Therapy and Mental Health Care Administration. In addition Eric is a published author.
Emily Traxlers Case Manager
Emily has worked in the human services field for over 7 years, and brings a multitude of experience working within the field of addiction in residential treatment services. Emily received her undergraduate degree in Human Development from Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon. She later went on to complete her master’s degree in Psychology. She has unilateral experience working with adults within residential services providing substance abuse services. Prior to joining Beachside Recovery Portland, Emily worked as a Lead Residential Faculty Staff Member for an inpatient substance abuse facility. She also has experience in group counseling, working with dual diagnoses, emotional and parental abuse, dysfunctional family issues, learning disabilities, and child development cases. Emily is currently working towards her CADC licensure. In addition to her clinical work, Emily has 10 years of management and leadership experience. Emily enjoys spending her free time volunteering and networking within her community.
Shaunte Munoz Office Manager
Shaunte has worked in the recovery field for over 3 years. She brings experience working within the field of addiction in outpatient treatment services. Prior to joining Beachside Recovery Portland, Shaunte worked in the front office and billing department at an out patient facility. Shaunte is passionate about working in the recovery field because she gets to see people transform into their best selves. She gets to witness their strength in bettering themselves and the ability to never give up. She admires individuals courage to thrive and believe in themselves. It is her passion to be part of a team that helps people find their way.
